Gardena, CA – February 6, 2019 – Building upon their finish in the King of the Hammers UTV race, MILESTAR, a leader of high value performance tires finishes 5th in the 4WP® Every Man Challenge 4800 Class. Aptly named for being a limited class on a modified King of the Hammers race course, that allows a more affordable way for teams to compete in a race with strict requirements such as a DOT-Approved tires, single-shocks per corner, and solid-axles.
Veteran Ultra4 Rock Racer Mike Johnson and his co-driver Martin Castro started 46th off the line in a field of over 130 race teams. With tenacity and grit working in their favor during the tumultuous race, they clawed through the field to finish in the Top 5. Milestar’s Patagonia M/T mud terrain tire continues to showcase its durability as it competes in some of the harshest and toughest races. Over 130 race teams competed in the Every Man Challenge race with more than half the field failing to cross the finish line. Some racers say, The King of the Hammers race week is not about winning, but about finishing. It is a test of man and machine braving the toughest rock-racing course in North America.
